Calling all Horror fans - write your own spine-tingling story!

Scare yourself silly in Write Jozi's bone-chilling creative writing workshop! Our special horror blitz is super-fun, but not for the faint of heart!

How does it work?

In three online tutorials, we explore: the genre of horror, the psychology of horror, tropes, setting, plot, characters, suspense, narrative arcs and how to craft a horror short story. We aim to connect a group of like-minded writers, all interested in the varied terrain and scope of horror.

The goal is to complete a short story by the end of the workshop, or to help you develop a roadmap for your dream novel.

What’s included?

The price is R1500 for three two-hour group tutorials, and feedback on the writing you submit between sessions. That's right! After each tutorial, you send us your writing and we'll appraise it. We offer inspiration and gentle accountability as you discover your story, establish a writing routine, and see your ideas through to completion.

Our workshops are for anyone with an interest in writing, no matter their background or experience. All levels welcome!
